Official notification for the Bihar Post Matric Scholarship for the year 2024-25 to the Backward Class (BC) & Extremely Backward Class (EBC) students. The application process opened on 07 January 2025, and the last day for applications is 10 March 2025. Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Online Form 2025: Details

The Bihar government remains dedicated towards promoting educational opportunities for underprivileged students through lending monetary support for the Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) scheme. This scheme is for the students of BC and EBC communities who have completed their 10th standard examination and are continuing studies in the recognized institutions.

General, OBC, BC, EBC Candidates: ₹0/-

SC, ST, PH, Female Candidates: ₹0/-

There is no application fee charged for this scholarship program. Here students can easily apply for the same.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions to apply for the Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Online Form 2025:


1. Domicile:

Should have been a permanent resident of Bihar.

2. Academic Qualification

Must have completed at least 10th standard & currently pursuing Post Matric Course (Inter, Graduation/Post Graduation, etc.).


3. Community

Must belong to the Backward Class (BC) or Extremely Backward Class (EBC) as per the list of the Government of Bihar.


4. Income Criteria

Monthly income shall not be above ₹ 25,000/- of the candidate’s family (guardian/father/mother) per annum ₹ 300,000/-.


5. Institution Requirements

The candidate must be studying in a central or state-recognized institution.


6. Restriction on Course Repetition

Students will not be eligible to receive a scholarship for a course at a level they have already passed (for instance, repeating Intermediate).


7. Restriction on Multiple Scholarships

Apart from that, those students who are having scholarship benefits from any other schemes are disqualified.


8. Government Rules Compliance:

Candidates will have to be in compliance with all the eligibility criteria laid down by the Bihar government.
